KOKORO NEST
The website of two guesthouses in Japan, built and hosted by the workshop.
Kokoro Nest is two guesthouses in Japan: one in Kyoto's Arashiyama district, the other in Osaka, one train stop away from Universal Studios. Their website speaks Japanese down to its interface, as you enter each house by parting a noren. Three languages, no cookies, no trackers, OpenStreetMap maps, and self-managed hosting.
A creation beyond the studio walls: a website built for a very real place, and one I keep running day to day. The story of the build is told in the workshop’s summer note.
